The oldest school in Dhupguri
Since 1945, Dhupguri High School has taught generations of students from the town and the villages around it.
Our history
The school was recognised as a Non-Government Aided School with effect from 1 January 1945, and received affiliation from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) the same year. It took part in its first grant-in-aid in 1955.
In 1976 the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) upgraded it to a Higher Secondary school for Classes XI and XII, vide WBCHSE memo no. 2486/Recog dated 07.05.1976.
In 2013 the school became a Government-sponsored school, vide Memo No. 73/RMSA/SL/5S-264/12 dated 09.10.2013.
Today the school has about 2,500 students and about 60 teachers and staff.

Fit for the wider world
The main objective of the school is to prepare students for the wider world.

Our teachers help students prepare to serve the nation and understand their responsibilities to society. We teach that student life is full of responsibilities and duties.
